Veronica Jackson
Registered Psychologist
Veronica (she/her) is a registered psychologist at Cultivate with a BA in psychology and an MA in counselling psychology. Veronica started her counselling journey as an intern at Cultivate. She continued to work with diverse clients throughout her licensing training and is now a registered psychologist. Her work at Cultivate has included both assessment and counselling and has focused on client profiles of neurodiversity, trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, parenting and relationship difficulties. Through this work, sessions are typically focused on safety, coping, processing, reframing and validation.
Veronica acknowledges the courage it takes for individuals to begin counselling and honours that in her practice. She takes a strengths-based approach with her clients and draws from various therapeutic modalities such as person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and narrative therapies. She sees each individual in her practice as the expert in their own experiences, valuing their unique perspectives. Veronica’s approach with her clients is non-judgmental, collaborative, responsive, and humorous. Her continued areas of interest include neurodiversity, trauma therapy, anxiety, depression, and attachment.
Veronica is 2SLGBTQ+ affirming, available to residents of Alberta.
