Nick Rowley
Counselling Intern
Nick (he/him) is a student at the University of Lethbridge, currently completing his Master's of Education in Counselling Psychology. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honours) from Mount Royal University.
Nick aims to meet his clients where they are, using a non-judgmental, empathic, and holistic perspective to ensure they feel seen, heard, and respected. He understands that being a part of a client’s therapeutic journey is an honour and seeks to help them through this journey.
Nick seeks to help his clients process, understand, and decide what they believe makes them unique and collaborate with them to decide on what fits for them. Nick works from a trauma- and compassion-focused lens. He has an interest in working with clients presenting with trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, and general stress.
Nick is 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and has his practices are anchored in safety, respect, and empathy to ensure his clients are heard, respected, and understood. He is located on Treaty 7 territory in Mohkinstsis (Calgary) and seeks to work from a decolonized approach in respecting and affirming everyone’s beliefs. He is currently accepting new clients across Treaty 6, 7, and 8 boundaries, known as Alberta.
