Malachi Davis
Registered Provisional Psychologist
Malachi (he/him) is a registered provisional psychologist with a BA in psychology and an MA in counselling psychology. He has a background in working with children with over 10 years of experience in various child support roles. In these roles, Malachi has developed a passion for supporting people and creating trusting safe spaces. He has worked with various populations in a counselling and assessment setting and is enthused to continue.
Malachi takes a person-focused, strength-based approach to counselling. He believes the client is the expert of their experience and aims to collaborate with you to build a therapeutic environment to support your unique life. Building off of your strengths and skills and creating new ones. His areas of interest include anxiety, depression, stress, interpersonal relationships, somatic work, and assessment.
Outside of counselling Malachi spends copious amounts of time with his family and friends, engaging in play, sports, and games any chance he gets. This interest in play finds its way into his counselling through the use of creative interventions such as drawing, playing cards, LEGO, and games, especially when working with child clients.
Malachi is 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and available to clients of all ages who are residents of Alberta.
