Kim Patterson
Associate Counsellor
I'm Kim (she/her) and you are not alone. We all experience challenges and difficulties that impact our lives in unexpected ways. Through a holistic lens, we will explore these challenges, integrate culture, and celebrate unique strengths to improve overall well-being and mental clarity. My goal is to empower you to navigate life’s complexities with confidence and resilience while ensuring you feel valued and respected.
My approach is rooted in a warm, empathetic nature and personalized counselling to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and inclusive space for all clients to openly explore their thoughts and emotions and share their stories. With over 30 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, individuals, couples, and families in the mental health field, I utilize a variety of therapies and strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Social Work and an Honours Child & Youth Counsellor Diploma.
It is a privilege to reside in and support the peoples of the Treaty 7 Region of Southern Alberta, and the home of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. I am 2SLGBTQ+ affirming, and I offer counselling sessions for children (10+), youth, and adults who reside in Alberta.
