Keira Shendaruk

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Keira (she/her) holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University as well as a Bachelor of Social Work degree. She is registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers and the College of Alberta Psychologists as a provisional psychologist. Over the past several years, she has worked in areas such as group care, crisis response, domestic and child abuse, and in school settings. 

In the midst of challenges, Keira offers to walk with her clients as a witness to their unique stories and as an ally on their journey forward. She strives to offer a space where clients feel seen, where they can grow in awareness and skill, and ultimately experience a sense of wholeness and healing. Keira has an eclectic style, drawing from a variety of modalities such as narrative therapy, Gottman method, inner child work, and somatic and mindfulness-based therapies. She is also trained in EMDR. She believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship and integrating the approaches that best suit her clients.  

Keira enjoys working with all ages 7 and older, as well as with couples and families. Common areas she works in include: trauma, neurodiversity, relational and communication issues, mental health, self-esteem, spirituality, and grief and loss.

Keira is 2SLGBTQ+ affirming, available to residents of Alberta and NOT currently accepting new clients.
