Jill McWilliam

Counselling Intern

Jill (she/her) is a graduate student intern working towards a Master of Counselling Psychology. She brings more than 16 years of experience as a nurse educator, supporting people through health challenges, behaviour change, and self-management. Her work has shaped a strong belief in compassionate, authentic, and person-centred care.

Jill knows that reaching out for counselling can feel vulnerable. She aims to create a safe, collaborative space where you can bring your whole self, including any fears or misgivings about counselling. Her approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed, grounded in curiosity and respect for each person's unique experiences, values, and needs.

With growth and health as guiding values, Jill sees counselling as an opportunity to better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and move toward what matters to you. She draws on evidence-based practices while tailoring therapy to each unique individual, meeting you where you are and supporting your movement toward where you would like to be (at a pace that fits you).

Jill is 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and accepting new clients located in Alberta.
