Henna Hans

Associate Counsellor

Henna (she/her) is an associate counsellor at Cultivate with a Master of Education in CounsellingPsychology from the University of Lethbridge. She is committed to her ongoing(un)learning and continually growing her skills to better support her clients. 


Henna takes a person-centred approach, offering a safe, empathetic, and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard and respected. She recognizes the privilege of supporting people through life’s challenges and works collaboratively to help them navigate their unique journeys. Believing that each person is different, Henna tailors her approach using a blend of modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioural therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused therapy, and narrative and somatic approaches. She integrates humour, self-compassion, and mindfulness to help clients connect with their strengths, values, and the life they want to build. 


Henna supports a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress management, life transitions, grief and loss, relationships, and trauma. 

 

Henna practices from a trauma- and culturally-informed lens and works with clients ages 18 and up. 

 

Henna is 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and available to residents of Alberta.
